Terms of Use

The rules for using PaceFC and having an account.

The short version

  • PaceFC is a free, independent fan site. We are not connected to EA.
  • Be respectful, only claim profiles that are really yours, and don't post anything you don't have the right to.
  • Pick'ems are just for fun. There's no money and there are no prizes.
  • We work hard to get stats right, but mistakes happen. Tell us and we'll fix them.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of pacefc.gg ("PaceFC", "we", "us"), a site run from the United Kingdom. By using the site or creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. Not affiliated with EA

PaceFC is an independent fan project. It is not endorsed by Electronic Arts and does not reflect the views of EA or anyone officially involved in producing or managing EA SPORTS FC. EA SPORTS FC, FC Pro, Ultimate Team and related names, logos and card images are trademarks or property of Electronic Arts Inc.

Team, organisation and tournament names and logos belong to their owners. We only use them to identify who is playing and where. If you own one and want it changed or removed, email contact@pacefc.gg.

3. Who can use PaceFC

Anyone can browse the site. You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under 18, you should have a parent's or guardian's permission.

4. Your account

  • Give a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One account per person. Don't create accounts to get around a suspension or to boost Pick'em results.
  • Usernames must not impersonate anyone or be offensive. We may change or reclaim a username that breaks these rules or is needed by the real person it refers to.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Account Settings.

5. Verification and claims

Only claim a player, coach, creator or team profile that is genuinely yours, or one you're authorised to manage. We may ask for proof and decide whether to approve a claim. If a claim turns out to be false, we will remove the access and may suspend the account.

6. Content you post

This covers your socials, tactics, in-game settings, gear, photos, bios, team page text and anything else you add.

  • You keep ownership of your content. You give PaceFC a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, resize, crop and translate it on the site and on PaceFC's official social media accounts, for as long as it is on the site, so that we can run and promote the site.
  • You confirm that you have the right to post it, for example that you own any photo you upload or have permission to use it.
  • We may edit or remove content that breaks these terms, is inaccurate, or that we reasonably think could cause harm. We don't have to keep copies of your content.

7. What you must not do

  • Harass, threaten, bully or abuse anyone, or post hateful, sexual, violent or illegal content.
  • Post false or misleading information about other people, or private information about them without permission.
  • Spam, advertise without permission, or post malware or phishing links.
  • Try to get into accounts or areas you aren't allowed into, test or bypass our security, or disrupt the site.
  • Scrape the site, or use bots or automated tools to copy large parts of it, without our written permission.
  • Use the site in any way that breaks the law.

8. Pick'ems

Pick'ems are a free prediction game for fun. You never have to pay, and there are no cash prizes. Badges and leaderboard places have no monetary value and can't be exchanged or sold. We may reset leaderboards or remove results that came from breaking these terms. If we ever run a competition with prizes, it will have its own separate rules.

9. Accuracy of information

Results, statistics, rankings, tournament tiers, meta data and player settings are collected with care from public sources and from the players themselves, but they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. PaceFC rankings, tiers and tier lists include our own judgement and opinion. Nothing on PaceFC is official unless we say so, and it is not betting advice. If you spot an error, please tell us and we'll correct it.

PaceFC links to streams, social media, shops and other sites we don't control, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. Product links on player gear lists are added by players and are not paid adverts. If we ever use affiliate links, we will say so clearly next to them.

11. Our content

PaceFC's design, code, logo, original articles and the way our data is put together belong to us. You're welcome to share links and screenshots, with credit to PaceFC. Please don't copy our content or database in bulk, or reuse it commercially, without asking us first.

If you believe something on PaceFC infringes your copyright or other rights, email contact@pacefc.gg. Tell us what the content is, where it is on the site, and why you own the rights. We will review it and remove it quickly where appropriate.

13. Suspending or closing accounts

We may warn you, remove content, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts other users or the site at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why. You can stop using PaceFC and delete your account at any time.

14. The service

PaceFC is free and provided "as is". We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time, and we don't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

15. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer. Otherwise, because PaceFC is a free service, we are not liable for any indirect or unforeseeable loss, or for loss of data, profit, opportunity or bets, that arises from using or not being able to use the site or relying on its information.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. If a change is significant, we will put a notice on the site or email account holders. If you keep using PaceFC after a change, that means you accept the new terms.

17. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
